Mentor Graphics Donates Cash and Volunteer Hours to Schools
WILSONVILLE, Ore., Sept. 26 --
Mentor Graphics® (Nasdaq: MENT) today announced that it will donate over
$10,000 to schools in Oregon, California and Pennsylvania, to reward and
encourage employee volunteerism in schools.
Mentor Graphics employees earned
the funds for the school of their choice by volunteering at the school and
participating in the company's K-12 Volunteer Grant Program. ``Mentor Graphics advocates and supports employee involvement with schools
across the country,'' said Walden C. Rhines, Mentor Graphics president and CEO.
``It is important that businesses partner with education to develop top-tier
educational programs for our young people.'' The company is holding a recognition ceremony for employees on Tuesday,
September 26 to honor employees who collectively volunteered a total of over
2,000 hours in the last school year. Oregon schools that will receive donations are:

The hours may be accumulated
through work at one school or may be divided among two or more schools within
the same school district or private school system. Volunteer activities include school-to-work programs, tutoring or
